The FH2-HYo4 is a newly developed hydrogendetector, specifically designed for preventinghydrogen leaks in fuel-cell vehicles (FCV). For thisapplication, a reliable hydrogen sensors is requiredand FIS has developed a new catalytic combustiontype hydrogen sensor with a minimum mass andwide surface area using a unique technology.Thedevelopment of this sensor realizes a rapid responsespeed and strong poisoning resistance againstsilicone compounds. These features achieve theexpected demands for long life in actual applicationsin automobiles, without any need for replacingdetectors over a long period. In combination withsophisticated electronics and software design,FIS offers the following features in hydrogen leakdetection.
